Zune.net Updates
Zune.net got some much wanted new features. Most important is the ability to “follow” an artist so that you receive updates when the bands you follow are on tour and will be in you area and feed aggregation which allows users to add news sites to a band’s bio page. These are small but important features for Zune which has distinguished itself with its Social as the digital music solution for users who love music. These simple new feature make the ability to keep up with your favorite band even easier.
With the new “following” features you can select which bands you want to follow. When you log on the system will present you with a list of your most recent/heavily listened to bands to immediately select which ones to follow.
After you add a band to “follow” the list of “followed” bands will appear on your social page.
In even cooler news, on a particular artist’s page will be a feed aggregator that users, like yourself, can add links to:
Click the “Edit Feeds” link to add feeds of your own!
In addition to this feature, the new Social also lets users preview/watch artist’s videos from within the social page, and aggregates tour date info in the artist’s social page. All these features really further embolden the Zune as the digital music service for the music fan
What about the software? I use an ipod because of it. I think its ITunes software, the organizing of my many songs, is way better that zune’s. So much so, that I gave my zune to my son. But, I like the device and it’s software is a different one I will buy the new zune.

Thanks for the feedback. The Zune software is really amazing. It is clean, efficient and easy to use with great folder monitoring features. I have used both and strongly prefer the Zune software. What I have seen evolve is a great piece of software to interact with.
I would suggest downloading a copy and checking it out. Specifically, download it and set up a test folder (so you dont touch your iTunes music) and direct the appliation to look to that test folder as your music library. You wont get a complete feel if you don’t join the social and develop some listening habits, but within a short time you can get a great idea for the look and feel of the software. download link here:http://www.zune.net/en-US/software/default.htm
